Solihull Moors 1-2 Wrexham: Dragons win to cut gap on leaders County
Jordan Tunnicliffe and Tom O'Connor scored as Wrexham completed a National League double over Solihull Moors to keep the pressure on leaders Notts County.
Solihull's Justin Donawa was denied by Mark Howard before Tunnicliffe headed home Elliot Lee's cross to put the visitors in front.
O'Connor's excellent free-kick doubled Wrexham's lead in the second half.
Ryan Bennett pulled a goal back late on for Solihull, who slip down to 11th.
Second-placed Wrexham's win sees them cut the gap on league County to two points.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said:
"To follow the 5-0 was a great effort from the lads. It was never going to be straightforward, there was always going to be some sort of response from Solihull.
"They started brightly I thought then we got hold of the game, had a really good spell and got the goal. We had to put our bodies on the line to earn victory.
"We got the second from an outstanding goal from Tommy and thereon in you felt we'd get another one because we were right on top of them.
"Obviously conceding in the last minute always adds a slight bit of tension but there was never going to be enough time for them to get back in it."
