Wales forward Gareth Bale came on as a second-half substitute to make his home debut as Los Angeles FC came from behind to beat Seattle Sounders.

Jesus Murillo's own goal had given Sounders a 14th-minute lead in the Major League Soccer game at the Banc of California Stadium.

But LA responded with goals from Kwadwo Opoku and Carlos Vela.

Bale was introduced with 28 minutes left as LA won to go seven points clear at the top of the Western Conference.

Former Italy and Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini also made his home LA debut.

Meanwhile Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman has said the "door is open" for Bale at his hometown club in the future.

Bale, 33, and his representatives held discussions with Dalman and Cardiff but opted to join LA on a 12-month deal with an option to extend his stay in California for a further 18 months

"He knows our feeling. A year is a long time. Our door is open to any quality player, not just Gareth," Dalman told 成人快手 Radio Wales Sport.

"He was in two minds. But it's his life, it's his career and he should make the decision that's really good for him.

"And he chose to go to the US, a different lifestyle, different type of sport and we have to respect that.

"Look, do I think he should have gone to LA or come to us? I would have loved to have seen him in Cardiff - I can't hide that feeling.

"Not just for Cardiff, but it would have been good for Wales and I think it would have been good for the league.

"I think it would have been good all round, especially with the World Cup coming and of course we wish him the very best at the World Cup and for Wales."
