Hamilton Academical's slim play-off hopes were ended as Scottish Championship title hopefuls Arbroath ran out winners at New Douglas Park.

Jack Hamilton found the top corner in the second half to keep Arbroath four points behind leaders Kilmarnock.

Defeat leaves Hamilton 10 points off fourth place with three matches to play.

But, with the bottom two losing, they remain seven points above the relegation play-off spot.
