Hamilton Academical 1-1 Ayr United: Visitors fight back after hosts miss penalty
- Published
Debutant Sam Ashford's goal secured a draw for Ayr United against Hamilton Academical in the Championship.
On-loan Rangers winger Kai Kennedy struck his first goal for Accies to give them an early lead.
And they could have doubled that advantage before the break after Mihai Popescu had been fouled by Sean McGinty but Ronan Hughes missed the penalty.
Ashford, who had finalised a move from Crawley Town on Saturday morning, fired the visitors level in the second half.
