Kilmarnock 2-1 Hamilton Academical: Hosts go second after first league win in four
- Published
Daniel Armstrong netted his first Kilmarnock goal to secure victory over Hamilton Academical and move his side second in the Scottish Championship.
Oli Shaw's early opener for the home side was quickly nullified as Jamie Hamilton headed Hamilton level.
Kilmarnock goalkeeper Zach Hemming then superbly kept out David Moyo's header.
And Armstrong, a summer signing from Raith Rovers, ended the hosts' three-game winless league run when his cross flew into the net.
Tommy Wright's men are now within three points off leaders Inverness Caledonian Thistle, while Hamilton are eighth, just two points off the bottom.
