Luke Young's two penalties took his season's tally to 9 goals

Two Luke Young penalties secured a vital win for Wrexham over Solihull Moors to lift them back into the play-off spots.

Young gave them the lead from the spot after Reece Hall-Johnson was brought down in the area.

Three minutes later Dior Angus was fouled and Young scored his second penalty, although keeper Ryan Boot got a touch.

The game's third penalty saw Adam Rooney pull a goal back for Solihull.

Wrexham are sixth after extending their unbeaten run to four games while Solihull slip down to 16th in the table.

Wrexham assistant manager Andy Davies said:

"It's a huge three points for us with the amount of games to go now. The most important thing was getting the win.

"We're slightly disappointed with the second half performance if we're honest but in terms of the first half performance we're delighted, going in at 2-0 and dominating the game for large spells

"They looked like penalties from where we are. You're in the hands of the officials all the time."
