Tyrese Sinclair earned Mansfield Town a deserved draw against promotion-chasing Newport County.

Both sides were well matched for much of the game, with Mansfield goalkeeper Aidan Stone and opposite number Nick Townsend kept busy.

Newport captain Josh Labadie put the visitors ahead deep into the second half with a crisp, left-foot shot.

But Mansfield continued to press and with six minutes remaining Sinclair found the net with a strong strike.

Prior to kick-off, the two sides observed a minute's silence following the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
