Innes Cameron's 90th-minute leveller earned Championship basement outfit Alloa a point against Arbroath as both sides finished with 10 men.

Jack Hamilton's 13th goal of the season, his third in four games, gave the visitors the lead.

Alloa's Ray Grant, who earlier hit the crossbar, was sent off.

But after Arbroath's James Craigen received a second yellow three minutes from time, Cameron struck a last-gasp equaliser to earn a draw.

The point moves Arbroath into seventh, while Alloa remain rooted to the bottom of the table but narrow the gap on Inverness CT to two points, albeit having played four more games.

Arbroath manager Dick Campbell: "We were outstanding in the first half and dominated the game and should've been more than one up. But I don't know how many times Alloa have done this to teams: they hang in there and fight to the death.

"We stopped passing the ball around, but there are a lot of pluses in the game today. I thought we were going to play until midnight the way the game went on; it went on for 98 minutes on my watch."

Alloa manager Peter Grant: "I was disappointed because I thought in the first half we were very tentative, but I adjusted things a bit. It gives us something to look at. Then you lose a really poor goal and it puts you on the back foot, but at the end we were on the front foot.

"The character of the boys has never been questioned. You've got to battle to win. Great credit to them, we came out well in the second half and we thoroughly deserved to get the point."
