Josh King scored twice in a second-half rally as Bournemouth saw off spirited League Two side Oldham in the FA Cup.

David Brooks gave Bournemouth the lead near the end of the first half but Oldham, who had been the bigger threat, immediately equalised through Dylan Bahamboula's injury-time penalty.

But the Cherries responded well after half-time and were soon ahead via Rodrigo Riquelme's close-range finish.

King then headed in Adam Smith's cross before his low drive sealed victory.

The tie was originally scheduled for Boundary Park but a frozen pitch caused it to be switched to the Cherries' Vitality Stadium.

Despite sacrificing home advantage to prevent further fixture congestion, Oldham were the better side in the first half and drew level as Bahamboula swept home from the spot after Davis Keillor-Dunn was brought down by goalkeeper Will Dennis.

In need of a response, Bournemouth, with 10 changes from the side that won at Stoke in their last Champinship match, showed much greater intensity after the break and Brooks played in Jack Stacey down the right who crossed for Riquelme to turn home.

King extended the lead via a header from six yards out before finishing the best move of the day down the right-hand channel with a crisp right-foot shot.
