Juventus have signed Italy winger Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina in a deal that could be worth up to 60m euros (拢54m).

The 22-year-old joins the Italian champions on an initial two-year loan, before a potential permanent move.

Chiesa came through the Viola youth ranks and made his debut for the club against Juventus in 2016.

He went on to make more than 150 appearances for Fiorentina and has won 19 caps for Italy.

Chiesa's father Enrico played alongside Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon at Parma in the 1990s.

The deal to take Chiesa to Turin will see Juventus pay Fiorentina 10m euros over the next two seasons and then a further fee of 40m euros, rising to 50m euros if certain conditions are met.

Earlier on Monday, Italy full-back Mattia de Sciglio left Juve to join Ligue 1 club Lyon on loan.

Primarily a right winger, Chiesa will give Andrea Pirlo yet another exciting attacking option, especially because he's versatile enough to play on the left or even in a more central forward position as a second striker.

He's been linked with a move away from Fiorentina for a long time, with the club's chief executive, Joe Barone, hinting earlier this year that several English clubs were interested.

But it is a heartbreaking departure for the Fiorentina fans who have watched him grow up at the club since he joined as a junior, aged 10, before working his way up through the ranks. Former Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino said after the transfer: "If you lose your own son like Chiesa, who came from the youth team, it hurts."
