Swansea City manager Alan Curtis has not ruled out a reunion with midfielder Jonathan de Guzman in January.

The Dutch international, who spent two seasons on loan at Swansea between 2012 and 2014 and now plays for Italian side Napoli, has been linked with a return.

"I think Jonathan is one of a number of names being bandied around; there is a lot of speculation," said Curtis.

"But Jonathan is a player that we know and it makes sense to bring in players you have some sort of knowledge of."

He continued: "Jonathan served the club well and, if he was available, I'm sure we would be interested."

Swansea are 17th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation places following Wednesday's 4-2 home defeat by Sunderland.

They have scored 19 goals in 21 matches. Only bottom club Aston Villa have found the net on fewer occasions so far this season.

And Curtis confirmed the club are stepping up their hunt for new striker.

"Like all clubs, we need to spruce things up and get some new faces in," Curtis confirmed.

"Probably a striker is our priority, but there could be other positions as well.

"It's difficult to comment (on transfer targets), there are things going on behind the scenes at the club that I'm not totally knowledgeable about."

Curtis also revealed it is a "possibility" that defender Franck Tabanou will go out on loan.
