Nottingham Forest recall Karl Darlow from Walsall again
On-loan Walsall goalkeeper Karl Darlow has been recalled early for the second time this season by Nottingham Forest.
After joining the Saddlers for the first time in September, Darlow was then summoned back to his parent club after an injury to Dimitar Evtimov.
The 22-year-old returned to Bescot on New Year's Day, since when he has kept clean sheets in successive games.
But Darlow has again been recalled to the City Ground and is now expected to make his full Forest league debut.
"I was gutted at having to go back last time due to the lad getting injured," Darlow told 成人快手 WM.
"I was back on the bench when I went back and was waiting to see where my next chance would come, and I wasn't sure it was going to be at Walsall again."
This time, Darlow is expected to go straight in for Saturday's home game with Peterborough as replacement Forest's first-choice keeper Lee Camp, who is set to leave the City Ground after talks with new manager Alex McLeish.
"He's a goalkeeper who we rate very highly, as they do at Nottingham Forest," Walsall boss Dean Smith explained to 成人快手 WM.
"It was unfortunate when his loan got cut short last time. But, having kept tabs on him, that made a tough decision for me as Aaron McCarey had come in from Wolves and played eight games for us and done well."
Meanwhile, Walsall midfielder Florent Cuvelier will complete his loan back at parent club Stoke City.
The young Belgian, whose scheduled loan runs until mid-January, has returned to the Britannia Stadium for treatment on the hamstring injury he aggravated in the 1-0 win over Stevenage on New Year's Day.
