The British Paralympic Association has named the first 10 GB table tennis players for the London 2012 Games.

The players have all qualified by right through regional championships and world ranking lists.

They include 24-year-old Will Bayley who recently became world number one in his class.

The British team could have four further athletes included when the final line-up for the event is decided later in the year.

Chef de Mission Craig Hunter said "I'm delighted to welcome this group of athletes to ParalympicsGB.

"To have all 10 all ranked within the top 11 in the world shows that there is real potential within this squad and tribute should be paid to the governing body for supporting the development of these athletes, six of whom will be competing in their first Paralympic Games."

The team includes four Welsh athletes, Rob Davies, Paul Davies, Paul Karabardak and Sara Head.

Britain failed to win a medal in the sport at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.

Team list:

Men

Class 1: Rob Davies, Paul Davies; Class 6: David Wetherill; Class 7: Will Bayley, Paul Karabardak, Class 8: Ross Wilson; Class 10: Kim Daybell

Women

Class 3: Sara Head, Jane Campbell; Class 4: Sue Gilroy
