George Bell, on 95, is on strike as Lancashire resume their first innings after tea against Hampshire.

The first ball from James Fuller is defended into the on side, while the second is dropped into the off side and he scampers a quick single.

No declaration by Yorkshire at tea with Harry Brook and George Hill continuing the onslaught.

Brook hits Zaman Akhter for successive fours - the first a ramp over the keeper off the back foot, then a punch through the off side.

Brook is up to 61 off 49 balls.

We've now had more than 1,100 runs in this game and we are still in the first innings. There have only been nine wickets as well.

Durham are not out of this either. Ben Raine brought up his 50 in the final over before tea and has put on 82 runs with Graham Clark, who has 65.

It would appear there are many more runs to be had. One of the members of the groundstaff has taken to social media today. He said the first two wickets used at Edgbaston this season had the same readings as the two wickets used at the start of last season.

They were cut and rolled the same way as well. And the mass of runs this year comes down to the use of the Kookaburra ball. If you love seeing plenty of runs then this will be right up your street. If you prefer wickets, then it won't be.

A record-breaking afternoon for Sussex who added 237 in just 35 overs.

Both John Simpson and Danny Lamb passed their career bests. Lamb smashing seven sixes in his 134 and Simpson five sixes and 22 fours in his 193 not out.

Their partnership of 255 was the third highest for the Sussex seventh wicket.

The Sussex lead is 314 and surely Sussex will now declare particularly with rain forecast tomorrow.

A lovely little mini session there for Nottinghamshire.

Both openers have 29 apiece and you just feel Worcestershire will be disappointed that they couldn't carve out a chance or two or maybe just keep the runs to a minimum.

And indeed that is tea.

The runs have dried up as we approach tea.

Lewis Goldsworthy is on 40 and Tom Banton has two from 20 balls.

Somerset trail by 33.

Lancashire head to tea with a lead of 88 and wickets in hand to extend it in the final session of day three.

James Vince claimed he had caught Tom Bailey at slip just before the tea break, but Bailey stood his ground and the umpire signalled not out.

It was difficult to tell whether it was cleanly grabbed or not on the replays.

George Bell is 95 not out, while Bailey has 31 in an unbroken stand of 52.

With the forecast looking a bit iffy tomorrow, will Yorkshire declare at tea?

They're 428 in front.

Harry Brook doesn't like scoring at anything less than a run-a-ball.

The England batter goes to his fifty off just 43 deliveries with seven fours and a six.

A declaration is surely looming with Yorkshire's lead at 426.

Ben Raine brought up his half-century with the penultimate ball of the afternoon session and Warwickshire have been toiling in their bid for further breakthroughs at Edgbaston.

Durham need to get to 549 to ensure that the Bears bat again and probably end any chance of this game finishing in something other than a draw.

A much better session for Nottinghamshire, who get through to tea without losing a wicket in their second innings.

Calvin Harrison (5-128) wrapped up Worcestershire's first innings, although not before their lower order had got them within 44 runs of parity.

But batting has looked pretty straightforward second time around for the hosts and you would imagine Ben Duckett might have a bit of licence to let loose in the evening session.

Middlesex batter Leus du Plooy has just become the fifth player to make a century in the game against Northants.

His side are 361-2 in that absolute run-fest at Wantage Road.

Glamorgan have stretched their lead past 300 against Derbyshire thanks to Chris Cooke's unbeaten 86. The hosts are 262-7 in their second innings.

Sussex's remarkable day continues at Leicestershire. They're now 623-8 with captain John Simpson unbeaten on a career-best 180.

The lead is 291.

Hampshire spinner Liam Dawson is into his 44th over in Lancashire's first innings, he has figures of 2-138.

The visitors pass 450, Tom Bailey and George Bell have added 50 together for the seventh wicket, and Lancashire's lead is approaching 100.

Time for a break in this one.

What they don't want to do now is get stuck as you start getting into numbers eight, nine and 10, you've got to keep the scoreboard ticking - which they are doing.

They've got to keep scoring, they are in a good position.

After Haseeb Hameed and Ben Duckett bring up a half-century opening stand, Duckett decides it's time to bring out the switch-hit off Josh Baker.

He doesn't quite catch it cleanly and would have been relieved to have seen it drop short of the fielder at deep point.
