Jersey win European T20 World Cup qualifier

Jersey are through to the next round of qualifying for the 2026 T20 World Cup after winning Sub Regional European Qualifier B in Germany.
The islanders, who had dominated the tournament, beat Norway by six wickets to win the title in Germany.
Ben Ward took 3-9 and captain Charles Perchard 2-5 as Norway could only manage 69 all out off 15.4 overs, with Jersey's bowlers outclassing their opponents.
In reply, Harrison Carlyon hit 20 and Asa Tribe 21 as Jersey made 71-4 off 7.1 overs.
Jersey qualified for the final after a 165-run win over Serbia, a 167-run victory over Switzerland and a 108-run win against Belgium before their final pool game with Croatia was rained off.
The victory in Germany means Jersey join Scotland, Netherlands and Italy in the final round of European qualifying, which is due to be held next year.
One more place is still up for grabs with 10 teams playing in Guernsey next month in the final Sub Regional European Qualifier.

Having won the toss and elected to bowl, Jersey's fast bowlers wasted little time as Dan Birrell took two wickets and Julius Sumerauer one as Norway were left on 33-3 off six overs as Khizer Ahmed scored 15.
But it was Jersey's slower bowlers that took Norway's line-up apart as Ward and Perchard got five wickets for just two runs in 20 balls between them.
It saw Norway slip from 37-3 to 39-8 in the middle of the 10th over with three batters failing to score.
Qamar Mushtaque and Vinay Ravi put on 17 for the ninth wicket before Mushtaque was bowled by Sumerauer for 13 off 15 balls.
Ravi was caught for 16 off 17 balls as Norway were bowled out for just 69 in 15.4 overs.
Glamorgan batter Asa Tribe guided Jersey to their target
In reply, Jersey saw Nick Greenwood caught for one off the fifth ball of the innings as he tried to clear the boundary at long on and the islanders were 9-1 off the first over.
Fellow opener Carlyon hit 20 off eight balls including two sixes before being the second Jersey batter caught off Ravi's bowling to leave the islanders on 26-2 from 2.1 overs.
Two balls later, Carlyon's replacement Jonty Jenner was caught at deep square leg for a first-ball duck as Jersey's impatience to get to their target looked as though it could cost them.
Zak Tribe and Asa Tribe put on 14 for the fourth wicket before Zak became Ravi's fourth victim when he was caught for nine to leave Jersey on 41-4 off 4.2 overs.
But Glamorgan's Asa and Charlie Brennan guided Jersey home - Asa hitting three fours in a 15-ball 23 while Brennan scored 17 off 10 balls as Ravi's four wickets came for 31 runs.
