England great Sciver-Brunt joins Yorkshire board

England legend Katherine Sciver-Brunt has joined the board of directors at Yorkshire.

Regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time, Sciver-Brunt took 335 international wickets, more than any other woman for England.

The 39-year-old won the Ashes three times, the 50-over World Cup twice and T20 title once in a career spanning three decades.

She retired from Test cricket in June 2022 and all international cricket just under a year later, before playing her final game with Trent Rockets in The Hundred in August 2023.

Sciver-Brunt's domestic teams included Yorkshire, Yorkshire Diamonds and Northern Diamonds and she will take up the position of an independent non-executive director at Headingley.

In a joint announcement, Yorkshire confirmed former lawyer Karen Moorhouse has also been appointed to the same role.

Moorhouse had held similar roles previously, including as a non-executive director on the board of the Rugby League World Cup held in England in 2022.
