Pears seamer Finch set to be fit for start of 2025 season

Worcestershire seamer Adam Finch is set to regain fitness in time for next season, after successful knee surgery cut his rehabilitation time down from six months to three or four.
The 24-year-old had been struggling with a double tear to a capsule in his knee and meniscus since the end of June but had initially delayed his operation until the end of the season to help the injury-hit Pears out during their Division One survival bid.
He played in their vital win over Kent in late August, taking four wickets and hitting a career-best 43 with the bat.
But it was decided to bring his surgery forward after that with the club saying Finch "should be fit for the start of next season."

"There was a part of us not planning to have Adam for the start of the season and thankfully that looks like it will be different now if everything goes to plan," Worcestershire head coach Alan Richardson
"It is good news with the surgery. It could have been up to six months rehab but it looks like it's more three or four months rehab time."
In Finch's absence, the Pears has beaten Essex and drawn with Warwickshire before picking up enough bonus points in their defeat by Hampshire to secure their top-flight status for 2025 - only the second time the club have achieved the feat following promotion.
Worcestershire start the final match of the County Championship season at home to relegation-threatened Lancashire on Thursday.
