Middlesex seamer Toby Roland-Jones has agreed a one-year contract extension to stay with the club until the end of 2025.

The 36-year-old red-ball captain has taken 517 wickets in 142 first-class matches for the county since joining in 2010, and also scored 3,577 runs.

This season Roland-Jones - who played four Test matches for England in 2017 - is the third-highest wicket taker in Division Two of the County Championship, with 37.

“This year he has been as good as ever, and has delivered consistent performances week in, week out, with figures to back it up," said Middlesex director of cricket Alan Coleman.

“He is terrific role model for the younger players in our group, always leading by example, giving everything for the side, and he leads the group brilliantly, both on and off the field."
