Glamorgan and Middlesex will lock horns again in their 2024 County Championship opener

Glamorgan will begin their season with a County Championship Division Two trip against Middlesex at Lord's on 5 April.

The Welsh county then continue their red-ball campaign against Derbyshire at Sophia Gardens on 12 April, with a further five games to follow.

Glamorgan are at home in Cardiff for their Vitality Blast opener against Surrey on Friday, 31 May.

The Metro One-Day Cup starts with a home fixture at Sophia Gardens against Gloucestershire on 25 July.

Glamorgan will once again play two fixtures at Neath Cricket Club, against Notts Outlaws and Sussex Sharks on 31 July and 2 August but there will be no fixtures once more at Colwyn Bay.

The group stages will finish at Sophia Gardens against Yorkshire on 15 August.

Following this, the season enters the final stretch of County Championship fixtures, finishing at home against Gloucestershire on 26 September.

Western Storm will play at Sophia Gardens on 20 April against Sunrisers, and again on 13 June against Thunder - a day which will see a double-header as Glamorgan take on Hampshire Hawks straight after at the ground.

Glamorgan head of operations Dan Cherry said: "It's looking like another action-packed season of domestic cricket, with plenty for our members and supporters to look forward to.

"We are looking forward to our first County Championship fixture which will hopefully set us up for a positive season, while we have a very exciting Vitality Blast schedule with action-packed fixtures across the board.

"It is sure to be another exciting season and we cannot wait to get started."

Glamorgan are still looking for a single head coach to lead the county across all formats next year.

The role was split in 2023 as Matthew Maynard led the championship team and Mark Alleyne took charge for shorter formats.

Maynard stepped down, along with chief executive Hugh Morris, following a disappointing season at Sophia Gardens.

Director of cricket Mark Wallace said the club will revert to a "traditional" structure following a review.

Wallace is now leading the search for a new head coach, with a job advert closing on 26 November, while Alleyne will remain as part of the coaching staff.
