Yorkshire's Finlay Bean broke the national record for the highest score in a Second XI Championship match against Nottinghamshire.
Opener Bean, 20, took his tally to 441 on day four before he was bowled by Notts leg-spinner Calvin Harrison.
He had already surpassed Marcus Trescothick's 322 for Somerset from 25 years ago, finishing day three on 365.
Bean also became Yorkshire's first second-team player to score triple and quadruple centuries with the knock.
The previous closest had been Richard Blakey's 273 not out at Northamptonshire in 1986.
Bean, a 20-year-old product of York Cricket Club who is not contracted to the county, struck 52 fours and three sixes in his 518-ball innings - which lasted just short of 12 hours.
Yorkshire's first-innings score of 814-7 declared is also a club record, surpassing 602-8 against Gloucestershire at Bristol last season.
