The Brighton to Chelsea conveyor belt - why Jewell could be a good fit at Stamford Bridge

Sam Jewell has become the latest Brighton staff member to join Chelsea in the past year and a half.
The Blues have quite the history with Albion now having taken their then manager Graham Potter and his backroom staff in 2022. Along with Potter, Chelsea took assistant Billy Reid, Bjorn Hamberg, Bruno Saltor, Ben Roberts and Kyle McCauley from the Seagulls.
That was before they hired Paul Winstanley, who is now one of the co-sporting directors of Chelsea.
Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, defender Marc Cucurella and midfielder Moises Caicedo have all arrived at Stamford Bridge for a combined 拢200m and Jewell is now the latest to make the move between the two clubs.
He had been involved in Brighton's global talent-spotting, especially in South America where they have had success in scouting players. The Amex Stadium club recently brought in highly rated 18-year-old Valentin Barco from Boca Juniors.
Jewell could be a good fit at Chelsea. As well as him working with former boss Winstanley, the club's owners are looking to create a multi-club structure and they currently have a majority stake in French side Strasbourg.
The Blues' spending in the transfer market has been well documented and this acquisition could see them jump the queue on talent as they look to sign the brightest young prospects in the game.
