NewshourAvailable for over a year
American artist Ye, known as Kanye West, has been dropped by big business partners and banned from social media for tweeting and broadcasting anti-Semitic hate speech. He had already faced criticism for anti-black hate speech after he showed a 'White Lives Matter" T-shirt at Paris Fashion Week. Beth Kean is the CEO of Los Angeles Holocaust Museum. She says they invited West to learn about antisemitism and meet a Holocaust survivor. He publicly declined the invitation. "We wanted him to understand the reach and the power of his words...where hate and prejudice can lead." (Photo: Kanye West is seen on October 21, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.
