Who are The Shy Teds? Eddie Ikea on lead vocals and guitar, Andy Dee on bass and backing vocals, and Kezza on drums. Where in Somerset are you from? Yeovil When did you form? January 2005 How did you get together? We decided to form a band because of our mutual love of punk music. We each chose an instrument and learnt to play! How would you describe your music? Our music is full-on punk, and our songs are as punk as they come! How did the band gets its name? Eddie came up with the name off the top of his head. His Dad's name is Ted, and he's quiet, so he put them together... Who are your musical influences? Our main influences are The Ramones, Guttermouth, Alkaline Trio, The Vandals and The Misfits. What is your most memorable gig so far? We haven't played any gigs yet. Where would you most like to play? We would want to do Battle of the Bands, but we're not sure as to any venues as yet. Finally, tell us some interesting facts about yourself Eddie is 22 and one of the songwriters. Andy is 24 and is the main writing talent. We wrote an EP in three hours, and we use Andy's mad skills on Photoshop to create our own posters, stickers, and album covers. |
