Stunning catwalk model Nandita (Kangana) is trying to rekindle a broken relationship with boyfriend / filmmaker, Yash (Adhyayan). The two patch-up and begin life together in a new home when Yash finally gets recognition for his work during an award ceremony.
All is well until Nandita finds she is being stalked by Prithvi (Emraan), an artist. He can foresee her doomed future though his paintings. Nandita refuses to believe him, dismissing all allegations.
She soon finds it hard to ignore the striking resemblance between Prithvi’s paintings and the near death incidents she starts experiencing.
To unravel the mystery, Nandita is forced to alienate herself from her rational and logical boyfriend who refuses to believe Prithvi’s premonitions.
So with the artist’s help, a terrified Nandita fights against all odds to save her soul from a wicked spirit hell-bent on destroying her life.
Mohit Suri’s stylish direction flits between horror and suspense shocking you with every twist and turn till the eerie climax full of surprises.
Few unexpected scenes give you a jolt from Suri’s use of unusual camera angles, subdued lighting and haunting musical score.
Kangana looks stunning as a model but terrifies you to the hilt with her supernatural transformation as the levitating, evil-possessed Nandita.
Kangana is ably supported by a leaned Emraan delivering a subdued performance as the silent, brooding artist foreseeing mysterious and distressing visions of Nandita.
The climax scene is also full of shocks when the actor behind the evil spirit is revealed! Bhatt brothers have done well by keeping this ‘raaz’ (meaning mystery) under wraps till the release of this thriller!
Just like the American horror flick, The Exorcist (1973), Raaz-The Mystery Continues plays on your mind well after the film’s screening. Watch it for an innovative Bollywood fright-night at the cinemas!ÌýÌý
