Monday, 18 AugustV Festival 2008Josh from ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Shropshire's Friday Night Gerbil show came with me to take pictures and we had a great time at the 2008 V Festival at Weston Park. Roots Manuva and Lenny Kravitz were outstanding and made the weekend for me. Before I went I looked at the website for information, as I hadn't been before. What was really funny was that there was no mention of wellies anywhere! How can a festival website miss out wellies on their camping list?! Over the two days, I managed to do 230 miles somehow - nuts! Oh man and the car in mud was funny. As I arrived on Sunday to park the car, I got a little stuck on one side so I had to sway the car through, then push down on the gas-well! You should have seen the car behind me all splattered in mud. I went very red" One thing about V though... I started to wonder by the end of Saturday whether V was about entertainment, or purely promotion. It didn't quite have the same festival feel as the Workhouse Festival in Llanfyllin, but overall it was still a great weekend. I'm at Shrewsbury Folk Festival next weekend. Let's see how it compares – it's a bit different, but hey worth a shot. I've been for a few years now and always had fun. I'll be in the Merchandising tent if you're around to say hello! last updated: 27/02/2009 at 17:13 SEE ALSOYou are in: Shropshire > Blast > Joni's Blast arts diary |
