Paul Gambaccini hosts the north of England contests in the 2025 season of Britain's brightest music quiz.
Music lovers from around the UK compete to answer Paul's questions on every style and era of music, with plenty of extracts to identify and stories from Paul's varied career.
Tickets for this show are being allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so when we receive your ticket request your details are added to the list of applicants. Tickets are usually dispatched from approximately three weeks ahead of the recording date.
All eligible requests are allocated tickets in the order they are received, up to the maximum number of available tickets. If successful, we notify you by text message and听send听your e-ticket(s) to your email address. If unsuccessful you will be kept on the waiting list in case anyone cancels their tickets.
We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people. Remember that every guest must bring original approved photo ID.

Jay Rayner hosts the culinary panel show packed full of tasty titbits that might change the way you think about food, cooking and eating.
Please note that tickets are non-transferable. They cannot be transferred to another date or to a person who is not named on the ticket. If your application for tickets is successful, your tickets will be printed with the name of the person who applied. The name printed on your tickets must match the name on your approved photo ID otherwise you won鈥檛 be admitted. If you听request two or more tickets because you are taking a guest along, all tickets will be printed with the name of the person who made the ticket application. Our tickets can only be used by the person named on the tickets, accompanied by any guest(s) they wish to bring along. Every additional guest aged 18 and above must also bring a form of photo ID from our approved list. Photo ID must be original and in date (copies and out of date ID won鈥檛 be accepted). If you cannot provide this proof you will be refused entry. Please note that all guests must be accompanied by the named ticket holder to ensure entry.

There are various food and drink outlets at MediaCityUK but please note there are limited catering facilities at Dock 10 Studios. If you wish to eat or drink before the concert, we highly recommend you do so before joining the ticket validation queue. You are welcome to bring a snack to have whilst you queue. Once your ticket has been validated, it may be possible for you to go elsewhere for refreshments but this, and the timeframe for doing so, is at the Studio Audience Manager鈥檚 discretion and depends on broadcasting and recording schedules on the day. Bottled water is permitted inside the Philharmonic Studio.
Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that as not everyone who asks for tickets uses them, to make sure we have a full house we send out more tickets than there are places. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people.
