Partan Bree, a fine crab soup/stew... reminds me o` when as a wee lassie, I would go for a bath only tae hae tae wait until me dad (a fine poacher) had taken the salmon oot o` it, then me mam had tae scrub hard tae get the fish scales off the enamel o` the bath....I like salmon but willnae eat onything that looks like thon crabs...they just remind me o` spiders...though I ken they are fine eating and lots o` folks love them..

And partins is a direct take from the Gaelic (pronounced Gaalic, not Gaylick, as heard on Radio Best Wee Country this a.m. from a b&B wifey on Skye, who obviously had not attempted to assimilate.....) which won't please the "we dinna spik gaelic heer, you ken" brigade.....Sorry he gave you crabs, barebraes....

Crikey, they are big b*ggers - now I see what you mean when you said you had trouble finding a pan! Takes me back to summer days years ago when you & dad used to take us both down the Crouch armed with our buckets and a pack of mouldy old bacon we'd left in the shed for a month (best bait ever!)....good memories heehee :o)

You sound like a very nice daughter (from Sunny Southend). But then you are Barebraes's and the Hulk's daughter. Are you flying up for a visit sometime? Looks like your parents are making fantastic progress on the house. Hard work and lots of skill: I am impressed.

The daughter is a credit to her Mum and Dad (so is her brother too) but neither are the offspring of The Hulk. Their Dad is very good friend who contributed to their upbringing greatly and helped make them special people. Hopefully they will both be up here before long as it would be nice to see them again.

Heehee as it goes I'm actually the result of Braintree's Chopper rather than the Hulk's .. erm....niblet (ahem) but nevertheless am really proud of what Mummy & Mr B have achieved so far. It's fab watching the progress on here and it's always lovely hearing them say that as hard as the work is, it's great to stand back at the end of the day and say 'we did that'. More so when you get a '...and it was fun too' :o) Hopefully it won't be long before we travel up and see the new bits in 3D, can't wait ... even if it does mean getting on one of those teeny planes again << not such a good memory! :-s One last thing to say before I skedaddle - hope you will all join me on wishing Mr B a very Happy Birthday for Saturday the 5th ~xxHappy Birthday Attila!!!*sends a biiiig rib-cracking hug*xx~

Happy birthday, Mr. B., and may you have many more. Candles, crab cake and canoodling (eh?!). Take the weekend off, old sod, and enjoy yourself. Again, all the VERY best.

Happy birthday Mr B - I agree with mjc that you should take the weekend off and have a holiday as a birthday treat!
