This dataset contains clips of rushes of a short television programme produced by ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ R&D called ‘Old School’, with behind-the-scenes content and metadata. This dataset is made available to researchers from universities and other reputable academic institutions and relevant public organisations. It is for strictly non-commercial academic research into the developing and testing of automated editing technology for television use cases, which we think is in line with the with the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ’s mission. The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ fully owns and controls the dataset and any use of it.
If you would like to request access to the datasets you will first need to agree to our ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ R&D Old School Dataset Terms of Use – this is a ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ permission form that you will have to download from this page and complete.
We’d like you to note the following restrictions in particular:
- The dataset is only available to researchers from universities and other reputable academic institutions and relevant public organisation for non-commercial research. Use is not permitted by independent researchers, students in secondary education (e.g. high school students), or commercial organisations.

- The dataset must be held securely and used in line with the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ R&D Old School Dataset Terms of Use.
- The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ’s permission to use the dataset is for 24 months only. If you would like to carry on using the dataset after 24 months you’ll need to contact the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ to request a renewal.
