Thrive is a charity which aims to rehabilitate disabled people by encouraging them to take up gardening. This year its gardeners have been set the ultimate challenge – to have a garden at the Chelsea Flower Show this May. Mani Djazmi will be following their progress as they snip, tend and hoe. For the first of his reports, he went to Thrive’s Battersea Park project in south London and its head quarters at Trunkwell outside Reading.
