Ìý Child-centred families 28ÌýJune 2005 Ìý
Are we too indulgent?

We’ve come a long way since the days when children were seen and not heard, but have we come too far?

Do parents’ lives now revolve around their children - entertaining them, ferrying them from violin lesson to gym class, and forsaking evenings spent in the company of other adults? Or is the so-called ‘child-centred family’ no bad thing?

Jenni is joined by Christie Mellor, author of "We Were Here First, Kid" and by Cassandra Jardine, author of "How To Be a Better Parent" and "Positive Not Pushy".
