Olympic women听2004 12听August 2004
Could they听bring home more gold medals than the men?

It wasn't until 1900 in Paris that the first women competed in the modern Olympic Games - and then only in events thought suitable. It took until 1928 for women to be included in athletics.

This may seem hard to believe as the cream of Britain 's sporting women prepare for the opening of the Olympic Games in Athens on Friday.

Jenni talks to Eleanor Oldroyd in Athens about the听women to watch in these games and asking the big question - could they bring home more golds than the men?
