Why she is a role model for emerging British divas

Gabrielle’s debut single Dreams put her at the top of the charts back in 1993,Ìýbut it was written at a time when her dreams were certainly not coming true.

The singer songwriter tends to draw on personal experience for her music. The best selling album Rise, as Gabrielle told us at the time,Ìýwas rooted in tragedy – her ex partner was convicted of murder.

Her new CD Play to Win is about, she says, love, loss, dealing with relationships. Gabrielle sings live in the studio.
