And at its AGM this weekend - the status of the women in the organisation was made clear - the membership voted against a motion which would have given women associate membership - although women can be members of individual clubs they are excluded from the decision making processes within the union.
Jenni is joined by Jackie Medley secretary of Bishopsthorpe club in York who听explains why she feels it's time for her to enjoy the same benefits that male club secretaries enjoy, and Kevin Smythe,听 head of the CIU who accounts for the continued ambivalence of some his male members to the women in their midst.
