The children in the 成人快手 series Child of our Time are now 3 and in last week's programme we saw them developing a skill we're always told we should never use.
Honesty they say is the best policy, but that's hard when your mother leaves you alone with a chocolate cake, tells you not to touch it, you eat a bit and then she comes back with a question.
So, telling lies is a natural response which just gets better with practice. Why do we do it? Why are we told we shouldn't do it and are there justifiable fibs AND unforgivable whoppas?
Joan Burnie, columnist on the Daily Record and Zoe Williams of The Guardian join Jenni to discuss.
