Just over a year ago, there was outrage in London's foodie community as that male bastion of traditional french cookery, The Connaught Hotel, underwent major re-fashioning for the 21st century.
Out went a lot of the crusty old waiters, silver trolleys and in came a lighter, fresher style, menus written in English as well as the entire Connaught kitchen headed up by a woman! Angela Hartnett, who trained under Gordon Ramsay.
Angela's managed to convince all doubters that a woman can successfully run a busy hotel kitchen and survive. So much so that she's managed to come up with a special series of recipes for Woman's Hour of sweet dessert sauces to go with a delicious winter pudding.
She told Simon Parkes, it's the turn of that wonderfully alcoholic foaming Italian favourite - Zabaglione with Baked Apricots and Amaretto.
