Women and depression 11 December 2003
Depression is costing the UK 拢9 billion a year, and it's not just the treatment which takes its toll on the nation's coffers. There's also the matter of all the lost work days.

Women take off 70% of depression related sick days and at least a fifth are taken by women aged between 35 and 44.

Carey Cooper, Professor of Organisational Psychology and Health at Lancaster University and Kathryn Abel, lecturer in mental health research at Manchester University join Jenni to discuss why this age group are so vulnerable to depression?
