Lear's Daughter Thursday 13 November 2003
Lear's Daughters
Yellow Earth, the UK's pioneering East Asian Theatre company specialises in work that explores the multi-cultural heritage of immigrants from China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore.

Their latest production is Lear's Daughters, a feminist classic written in 1987 by Elaine Feinstein and the Women's Theatre group. The original play imagines the upbringing of King Lear's three motherless daughters after the death of the Queen.
Yellow Earth's production is a futuristic fairy tale about fathers and daughters reflecting the East Asian experience. Judi Herman went along to meet those involved in the production.
Lear's Daughter's is on at The Oval House Theatre until 15th November and then at the Soho Theatre from the 17th to the 22nd November.
