Women In Wax Wednesday 22 January 2003
Having survived the French revolution and its aftermath, Marie Tussaud came to Britain with several of her waxworks, and went on to create one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.

Professor Pamela Pilbeam joins Jenni to talk about the myth Madame Tussaud created around her and why modelling in wax attracted so many women.
Pamela Pilbeam, 'Madame Tussaud: And the History of Waxworks' published by Hameldon and London Ltd, ISBN: 1852852836
