Rosemary Verey's Garden Tuesday 20 August 2002
Last year Rosemary Verey died at the age of 82. Over the course of her lifetime she became known for creating classic English country gardens, using the timeless designs of the past.

Her showpiece was her own garden at Barnsley House, a former 17th century rectory in the Cotswolds where she welcomed up to 20,000 visitors a year.
Rosemary's house has now been sold, and will be turned into a hotel and restaurant. And unless you're a guest, her famous garden will be closed to the public except on special occasions.
Jennifer Chevalier visited Rosemary Verey's garden for a final tour accompanied by her son Charles.
Barnsley House will close to the public on 14 September 2002
