Evelyn Ryan, mother of ten children, kept poverty at bay during 1950s and 60s in the United States by writing jingles and entering contests wherever she found them.
Her daughter Terry Ryan has written a book describing how her mother kept the whole family afloat by writing twenty-five winning words whenever she had a minute.
She talks to Jenni about her enterprising mother.
