Wifework Wednesday 9 January 2002
Women today initiate three-quarters of all divorces. And according to the academic, Susan Maushart, wifework is at the core of their disillusionment.

Although nowadays most women go out to work as a matter of course, they still find themselves doing the lion's share of the work when they get home - everything from housework to sexwork.
Is marriage an outdated institution that no longer works for women or is it time to rewrite the job description to make marriage more equitable? Jenni discusses the future of marriage with Susan Maushart, author of the new book Wifework, and journalist Angela Neustatter.
Wifework : What Marriage Really Means for Women by Susan Maushart, Bloomsbury Publishing, Ltd; ISBN: 1582342024, 拢24.95
