As events in the United States continue to have a ripple effect on daily life across the world, it is regrettably fitting that a ballet being peformed at Sadlers Wells is very much in tune with today's sentiments.
Dante's Sonata was first performed in 1940 and depicts the forces of good against evil, and light against darkness.
We talk to one of the original dancers Jean Bedells who's helped revive the ballet. Dante Sonata will be performed by Birmingham Royal Ballet as part of a triple bill at Sadler's Wells, London, on 14 and 15 September. Call the Box Office on 0208 863 8000 for more details.
