ThisÌýweek seesÌýthe introduction of theÌýnew Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)Ìý for allÌýunder fives in childcare.ÌýAs a result,Ìýyoung childrenÌýwill be monitored, through play, to make sure they reach 69 different milestones before they start formal education at five.
Swedish children start their educationÌýat the age of 7 and toÌý see how theirÌýsystem differs form that in England, Kati Whitaker visited the Stenkolet ‘Forskolan’Ìýpre-school in Sweden.
