Ann Miller
Creativity, inventions and turning ideas into reality

‘Eureka!’ – That was how Archimedes is said to have announced to the world that he had made his discovery. Apparently, it is not a moment that most inventors would recognise, where ideas rarely arrive fully formed in the minds of their creators. Anne Miller is described as ‘one of the world’s most prolific female inventors’. She has 39 patents to her name. She is also an authority on the nature of creativity and joins Jane to talk about inventions and how to turn ideas into reality. They are joined by Rachel Lowe, whose idea for a new game came to her while she was driving a taxi. Despite failing to convince the ‘dragons’ in ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ 2'sThe Dragon’s DenÌý of the worth of the project, she has transformed it into this year’s number one seller.

'The Myth of the Mousetrap – How to get your ideas adopted (and change the world)' by Anne Miller is published by Marshall Cavendish,ÌýISBN: 978-0-462-09915-6.
