Ethiopian Women First |

 Professional running in Ethiopia has long been dominated by men, and the country has produced some of the world's best male distance runners. But in the last decade, female runners like Meseret Defar, have also begun winning Olympic medals, world championship races and marathons. Today, seven of the 10 top-earning athletes in Ethiopia are women.
Addis Ababa,听was the venue听earlier this month听for 'Women First', the largest all female run in Africa. It is 5k long and draws 8,000 women from across the country. Our reporter, Angela Robson,听spoke to some of the athletes taking part and Africa's "queen of distance running", Berhane Adere.
