 Her relationship withBuddhism and Communism
Meaghan Delahunt was nominated for the Orange Prize for Fiction and won various other awards for her first book “In the Blue House” which was released in 2001. Her second and latestnovel “The Red Book”tellsthe story of three strangers who meet in Bhopal in India twenty years after the gas leak that killed thousands. The tale explores the impact of Buddhism and meditation on each character’s life. Meaghan joins Jane to talk about her own relationship with Buddhism, life as a writer, and her time as a dedicated communist in Australia where she was born.
