What can be done to minimise genetic problems?
Genetic disabilities can arise when close cousin marry. Within the Pakistani community in Bradford about 55% of marriages are between cousins, and doctors have seen more cases of babies born with anomalies than would usually be expected. Jane talks to Dr Aamra Darr and Shaista Gohir about can be done to help these families, and whether a congenital anomaly register is needed.
