After three months at university, most new students are happily installed in halls or bedsits enjoying their new found freedom with a diet of instant pasta, toast and cheap alcohol. It's normal for undergraduates to feel homesick in the first few weeks but for some, leaving home for the first time can be a painful experience and feelings of isolation and loneliness make homesickness a very real problem. Jenni discusses the problems with student Abigail Morris, a father with children at university – Richard DentonÌý- and Head of Counselling & Welfare at Kings College London, Ann Conlon.
