 Carol Hatton on life with Ricky
In the early hours of Sunday 9th December,听boxer Ricky Hatton, from Manchester, will step into the ring in Las Vegas to fight for the welterweight championship of the world. He鈥檚 taking on America鈥檚 Floyd Mayweather, and even though Hatton is undefeated in 43 fights, he鈥檚 still considered the underdog.
Ricky鈥檚 mother, Carol, will be at the ringside as she鈥檚 been for all his previous fights. For much of his boxing career her boy lived at home and she managed his diet. Even though her son is now worth millions, she still runs her carpet stall in Glossop three times a week. But what is it like to watch your child take the punches? Gareth Davies, boxing correspondent of The Daily Telegraph, reports from Las Vegas and Glossop.
