What鈥檚 in it for women鈥檚 health?
With听the law governing Human Fertilisation and Embryology in听the final stages of reform, the听news has been full of stories about its possibile impact. Headlines have focussed on fertility treatment for lesbians and single women, the creation of hybrid embryos for stem cell research and the regulation of internet sites selling sperm. But what听will it do to protect women undergoing assisted reproduction?听Geeta Nargund from St. George's Hospital, London says the bill is a lost opportunity to help women who are confused and sometimes at risk. She joins Jenni, along with Lord Robert Winston, who is part of the parliamentary committee scrutinising the bill.
